This artwork explores the ongoing exploitation of garment workers worldwide. I created a quilt using recycled fabrics to represent the stories and lives behind the garment industry. A sewing machine running continuously symbolizes the pressure on workers to return to work and keep production going, even after tragic accidents. The work highlights how profit is often prioritized over workers’ safety and lives.
